First Time Shooting? Here's Exactly What to Expect

Shooting for the first time can feel intimidating — that's normal, and it's exactly why we built Revere Gun Range the way we did. Our instructors specialize in first-timers: patient, clear, and with you at every step. Here's how your first visit works.

YOUR FIRST VISIT, STEP BY STEP
1. Walk in — no appointment needed. Come to 601 NE 28th St, Pompano Beach, any day between 10 AM and 8 PM — last entry call is 7:20 PM. Tell the front desk it's your first time — they'll take it from there.
2. Quick check-in. Bring a valid photo ID — tourists must bring a passport. You'll fill out a short range waiver.
3. Safety briefing. Before you touch a firearm, an instructor walks you through the safety rules and range procedures. No rushing, no jargon — plain language, and in English, Spanish, or Portuguese if you prefer.
4. Gear up. Eye and ear protection are required. Don't have your own? Rentals are $2 each.
5. Pick your firearm. Rent a handgun ($7), shotgun ($15), rifle ($25), or go bigger with suppressed ($35) and full-auto ($75) options. Not sure what to try? Ask — our team loves matching first-timers with the right starter gun. Rental firearms use our ammunition, and you must be 21+ and in a party of two (or bring your own firearm).
6. Shoot with an instructor nearby — Your lane, your pace. Instructors stay close, coach your stance and grip, and make sure you're safe and having fun. One-time fun experience: $50 flat for groups of up to 5, $100 flat for groups of 6 or more.

Thursday 1–4 PM: range entry is FREE for everybody with any ammo purchase.

WHAT TO BRING
• A valid photo ID (driver's license; tourists must bring a passport)
• Closed-toe shoes (required — no open-toed shoes on the range)
• That's it — we provide the rest

GOOD TO KNOW
• Tourists are welcome. A passport is required as ID.
• Kids 8 and older can shoot with a parent present.
• Ages 18–20 can shoot alongside someone 21 or older.
• No hollow-point or steel ammunition on our range (shotguns: slugs only)..
